Special pottery workshop " Create a Chawan "

Sunday, May 10

This workshop will give you the experience of making  Chawan "O-idoTea Bowl".
You can learn about the history of Chawan while creating your own.

"Oido Tea Bowl"
The Oido chawan (large Ido tea bowl) is a celebrated tea bowl that symbolizes the spirit of wabi-suki aesthetics.

Among them, the National Treasure “Kizaemon” is especially prized for its powerful and bold presence, making it one of the most remarkable surviving Ido tea bowls.

This time, we invite you to take on the challenge of creating your own Oido chawan, one of the most iconic Korean tea bowls.

You can make the tea bowl by coil building on the day.
