Guinomi ” Sake cup", Geppaku , Hosai XVI

Hosai XVI

When making sake cup, I am always aware of what I feel the appearance of a tea bowl even if it is small. However, the size is different from the tea bowl, it does not mean that it should be made in the same way. In the case of Geppaku glaze, through trial and error, I feel to create a work with a slightly elongated, slender shape should be well-balanced and convincing me. This work is also a little thinner than tea bowl, and the contrast between the white clay, Geppaku glaze and the expression of the clay worked well.
