My father often made chawans of this design.
The distortion is a feature of this shape. I make the shape first on the potter's wheel and then make changes by hand.
I brushed the inside and outside of the rim of this chawan with white clay.
There is a slight difference in design between my father and I. But I was able to create a chawan that is unique to me.
