Tea bowl with the expression of "deer spine dappled pattern" that is typical of Asahiyaki, made of White clay which is excavated and selected from Shirakawa and Oriiyama in Uji. It features a light yellow and gray complex gradation. The origin of "deer spine" is the spotted pattern like the back of a deer.
The pottery clay mined at the time of the 14th Hosai is aged and used for over 50 years.

The more you use this chawan, the charm of its taste increase, and the more you can enjoy the change.
