Heritage & Function
Inspired by MTCH AIR, and reinterpreted by ASAHIYAKI,
MTCH KASE is a new vessel designed specifically for matcha.
Its form is engineered to guide the flow of hot water,
enhancing the functionality of whisking matcha —
a balance of performance and beauty.
At the same time, it carries the texture and presence of ASAHIYAKI’s long-standing craftsmanship.
A new form of tea, born from the circulation of cultures.
During the event period,
MTCH AIR and MTCH KASE will be available in limited quantities at ASAHIYAKI Shop & Gallery.
This is the official launch in Uji.
We warmly invite you to experience them in person.
You are welcome to visit the shop and explore MTCH AIR and MTCH KASE freely during the event period, even if you are not participating in the workshop.

The central figure behind this project and founder of MTCH.
Having cultivated matcha culture in Thailand, Jev has transformed the Thai matcha experience. He believes culture does not flow in one direction — it circulates, intersects, and evolves. From this philosophy, the new piece MTCH KASE was born.
This dialogue in Uji marks the beginning of a new chapter.

Supporting this event is Gwa, a bridge between Thai and Japanese tea culture.
To transmit culture.
To create meaningful spaces.
To deepen experience.
Standing between Thailand and Japan, Gwa carefully connects this project across borders.
Program Director of this event.
He brings a strong understanding of the contemporary Japanese tea perspective.
Together with Jev, he co-created MTCH KASE.
Over the past two years, he has visited Bangkok twice and enjoys exploring tea shops throughout the city.
At this event, he will share the perspective of Japanese tea.
