"By the Lake again Tonight" series

The nobles of the Heian period (794-1185) used to float the moon on the lake and admire it, as if only the world existed with the moon and themselves.

In 2020, the silent night gave us such a precious time.
Not to forget the beauty of daily life being noticed by extraordinary life.
Based on this idea, the collaboration between Hosai Matsubayashi ,Asahiyaki, Kimiko Sekido, art director, and Sayaka Arimoto, copywriter, "By the Lake again Tonight" was launched.

Not only the full moon, but the phase of the moon as well, is what I wanted people to feel from, I created the silver decorated artwork and to enjoy the deterioration over time, which I think, was close to the concept of this project.
The picture books are created in colors inspired by the art of pottery. Each guinomi cup is named after a moon, based on the emotions people once felt when looking at the moon.
We hope you will enjoy the world view completed by the fusion of the three artists' thoughts. A set of Guinomi, sake cups and a picture book "By the Lake Again Tonight" will be sent to you.
